Breakfast recipe from Jillian Michaels 300 calories.
Review: Ahhh maybe this isn’t for everyone, I had a really hard time eating it. It was my first time making porridge with quinoa- so that could be the reason. Generally I found it lacking taste. The recipe asked for pitted cherries, that I didn’t have, so I used banana instead. Other than that I ,made the recipe as is.
Here is the recipe:
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 cup coconut milk ( I used organic unsweetened)
1 tsp organic grade B maple syrup
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup quinoa
2 tbsp. pecans chopped
1/2 cup cherries pitted ( I used 1/2 of a banana instead)
Cook the quinoa as per your package instructions- with water and the coconut milk.
Place in a bowl stir in the vanilla extract and maple syrup.
Top with chopped pecans and fruit.
