Prep Time: 40mins

Serving- For 2
- 1/2 cup steel cut oats
- 2 tsp butter
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- Maple syrup
- 1 plum per person- cut into wedges
- 1/2 tbsp torbinado or any brown sugar
- 1 tsp unsalted butter
Preheat oven to 350 degrees (for the plums)
While that’s getting to temp
Warm the butter for the oats in a pan –
Add the oats- toast for about 3 mins on low – medium heat
Once the oats are toasted- add the water- bring to a boil then simmer on low heat for 15 minutes.
After the 15 minutes add the raisins,milk & cinnamon.
While that is cooking toss the plums with the sugar- put the plums in an oven proof dish with the butter- put it in the over to bake for 10 minutes.
After the oats have cooked the 15mins add the maple syrup.
Stir & cook for 5 minutes.
Both the plums and the oats should be ready at the same time-
Top the oatmeal with the beautiful jammy plums and serve hot-
