DIY Picture Frame Tray

Heya…

Here’s one of my personal favorites. TRAYS! I find them very versatile and useful. I love using them to group items on a vanity or desk etc. and off course for its intent as a serving tray.

For this DIY-Picture Frame Tray, I have taken a picture frame and repurposed it as a decorative tray.

See the video for this DIY here:

  • 1-8×10 Picture Frame
  • 2- Handles With Screws (Drawer pulls that screw in from the top)
  • 1-Screwdriver
  • 1-Marker
  • Newspaper
  • Decorative paper/flowers
  • 1-Can Spray Paint
  • 1-Sheet sandpaper (If your surface is glossy-lightly sand before you paint)

Step 1: Remove the Glass etc. from inside the frame.

Step 2- Make the holes for the handles on both sides of the frame- Use a marker to mark the spots (these marks will get covered up with the paint) then use the screwdriver to create the holes.

Step 3: Protect your surface, spray the frame ( flip the back out, cover with paper) Set aside to dry (should be under an hour)
