Triple Berry Crumble

Heya.. Welcome back!

For my first cooking vlog/blog, I chose to do one of my husband’s favorite desserts Crumble. Also one of my favorites.. because I love warm desserts and having it a la mode certainly pushes it up a notch.

It’s easily one of the simplest quickest desserts to prepare. Crumble is something that I would usually prepare at the last minute, stick it in the oven before dinner and by the time you’re ready for dessert.. it is ready!

It’s also very versatile in terms of the fruits that you use, usually, I would use a minimum of two fruits. So for example, strawberry & apple or apple & blueberries. Pretty much the fruits that are always in the refrigerator.

The other ingredients are all staples- flour, oats, sugar & butter.

You can also play around to make it as low calorie as you like-

Here’s the recipe:

Combine all of the ingredients for the filling, stir very gently, set aside.

For the crumble topping combine all of the ingredients using a pastry blender or a fork. Do not over mix- what you want is a crumbly texture.

img_0249-2Place the fruit in a glass 9″ dish or 4 individual ramekins- fill 3/4 way, leaving space for the topping, for individual servings you would want to leave a bit more space if you are serving with a topping- ice cream etc.

For individual’s place the ramekins on a metal tray, then place in the oven. To be a little bit conservative you can also bake these in a toaster oven.
